My Go-To Drinks at the Bar

Since turning 21, I've found a few drinks I really love ordering when I'm out or making at home. Below is a breakdown of my favorites, sorted by category.

Mixed Drinks

Tequila Sunrise

Tequila is my go-to spirit, even if most people I know don't agree. If you're a tequila lover too, this one is a great choice. The cocktail mixes tequila, orange juice, and grenadine syrup, topped with an orange slice and/or a cherry.

Vodka Cranberry

It doesn't get much simpler: vodka plus cranberry juice. I really enjoy cranberry juice, and this drink makes a great lighter option.

Whiskey Ginger

Whiskey mixed with ginger ale. I don't order it very often, but when I'm in a bold mood, it hits the spot.

Beer

  • Corona — a pale lager, and I love it with a lime, of course.
  • Blue Moon — a Belgian white beer.
  • Coors Light — a light lager.
  • Budlight — a light lager.

Wine

Reggae Red is a sweet red wine and typically my choice when I'm out.

BayBridge caught my attention during a grocery run — at just $3 I was a bit skeptical, but I gave it a shot anyway, and it turned out great! I usually reach for the Pinot Grigio (a white wine grape) or the White Zinfandel (a dry-to-sweet, pink rosé).
